Thoughts on pinging

for whomever is interested, I have done about 3000 plus miles on my 2003 nomad after the installation of the cobra FI2000R unit, took out the spark plugs last weekend and i am pleased to report that normal carbon build up shows on all four plugs, no pinging as of yet, i have traveled up to yosemite, sequoia, in temps around 105, 106 degrees, and no pinging whatsoever, and my mileage remains around 40 miles per gallon average, no noticeable amount of increased power, just a much smoother throttle response, and torque. very pleased with the cobra unit, i hope it remains working this way for a long time, since i plan to reach the 200,000 miles if posibble, the bike now has 75,000 on it.
