I wonder what the scraping sound is. Nothing draging on the pavement because it comes through a couple of times when the bike is straight up and down. I wonder if the tire is rubbing on the bike frame?

I think you need to watch the video a couple more times. The only time the scraping sound is heard is when the bike is leaned over to the left or to the right.
You have to watch the road in the background. The sun moves the shadow around and it looks like the bike is straight up at times when it is not. It also makes the bike look like it is leaning sometimes when it is not.

Hey TC, I watched it and stand by my original observation. There are a couple of times when the scraping can be heard and the bike is obviously not leaned over. One in particular is right at the end of the tape.

Could be brakes. Had not thought of that.

Idaho , I watched it 3 more times and I heard scraping 4 times. Every time I heard scraping the bike was leaning over. I think the noise at the end of the tape is the tire running over dry leaves.
Of course I ran very loud wire making machinery for 44 years without hearing protection so maybe you are picking up sounds that my imparied hearing cannot hear.

Here's another question on this topic. What tire would be best for the front wheel with a car tire on the rear? Or would it not make any difference?

I never saw that Shady or Jimisan said anything about the front tires Bud so I'm assuming any bike tire would work.
