Hey folks!
Thank you for having a world class Vulcan forum. I watched for a while and decided this is where I want to be. I'm a former police motor jock. Rode Harleys and a KZ1000....Hands down the KZ was my favorite. Now I am a supervisor but I managed to get myself put over our motor officers so I still have the privilege of living it through them. Past bikes include Goldwing 1800's (2 wheel and one trike), 2000 Voyager, Road Star 1600, 2 Royal Star Ventures, a couple of HD police bikes (Glide and FXRP), the obligatory Sportster and a boat load of smaller bikes when I was a kid. 36 years of licensed riding and 46 years of total riding. When the VN1700 came out I really watched it. That front fender snagged me since it looks like the old KZ1000....I finally had a chance to buy this used 2011 with 3400 miles on it....It's winter so I've only gotten 1600 miles on it so far but I plan on many, many more.....Plain and simple I LOVE THIS BIKE...It handles like a dream and it sure doesn't catch as much wind as a loaded GW....Just about got every goody on it that I need and I'm just waiting for riding season. Hi Brett, Welcome to the forums. A great riding career. I thought I had owned allot of bikes but you have me beat for sure. Thank you for your years of civil service in law enforcement. I'm from Missouri
