Question Red goo brake quiet

Looking at changing front brake pads with EBCHH FA158 pads. Looks pretty straight forward. Is it necessary to use the red goo brake on the back of the pads? Never used this before. Thanks in advance. This is for my 2015 Vaquero.

EBC HH pads r pretty darn quiet, I never had any issues.
