Rode over to the local HD dealer to get a part and they were out of stock.
Now I get to go again next week.

Why didn't they just pop the part off one their bikes and sell it to?

well what if they can't sell a new bike because they cannibalized it to sell the part to Steve? Not knowing what part he's talking about, just theorizing. Most dealers of any brand aren't going to strip parts off a new bike to sell them.

I rode to get some lunch today while the wife was at the dentist, about 40 miles round trip. It was around 101°. First triple digit day of the year.

Rode out to the Carbon Glacier Ranger Station after dinner. About 55 miles round. Beautiful sunny evening.

Got about 35 miles in on the first 100°+ day of the year. Mostly errand stuff not a real run for a destination.

Rode to galveston took the ferry to bolavir. From there to Winnie and over to China Tx. Came back the freeway to Baytown and over the Fred Hartman bridge to Kemah. Stopped at outriggers under Kemah bridge and home to Dickinson. Beautiful day. Awsome ride.

Nice little 93 mile round trip to Boulder and back (the back way). Beautiful day in the mid 70s. Hills are green so Red Rocks and South Valley Park look awesome!

On the way back, hit the brakes pretty hard to stop at a yellow that I probably should have just gone through. Lots of oily junk on the road so I locked up the rear a couple of times trying to stop in time. Now I know how she'll react with the back tire locked up, but I'd rather not do that again!

I just got back from the Cape Fear 1000 Rally. The picture above was taken just after we parked before scoring. Rode down to Arcadia, FL on Thursday, rally started in Arcadia (for me) on Friday at 10:00AM. Rode about 800 miles, finishing day one in Augusta, GA at 0023. Saturday started at 0423 and I finished at 1:05PM in Wilmington, NC. Finished toward the bottom of my group but had fun.

Rode home from Wilmington to Crystal River today, about 560+ miles. Total mileage since Thursday, 2009 miles.

About 60 miles yesterday. Worked on Subcloser's bike then went over and met Goose and Debbie for a late dinner in Inversness.

We hit a bit of rain and wet snow last night, nothing serious though. About a fifty mile round trip.
