Recommend your State?

Hey all.
Interesting article in papers in the past few weeks. It deals with how residents recommend their home state to out of state friends if the friend asked to move there.
Very surprising. In Flori-Duh, 1 out of 5 is planning to leave the state. 1 out of 3 would NOT recommend friends to move here. Reasons?
1. Crime down here is ridiculous. Gangs, shootings, drugs, human smuggling from Cuba and Haiti is wide open, rape and the list goes on.
2. Economy. We have a service based economy. Not a lot of real industry. So when things get tight in the pocketbooks, the ripple effect is wide spread.Wages are pretty low as well.
3. Cost of living is skyrocketing. Housing prices are up ( lower than 2004 - 2006, but they haven't come down THAT much ), taxes and property insurance is high. Milk is 4 a gallon and gas is 3:25 a gallon.
It goes on and on so I won't bore you with all of it. This is the papers findings; not something I am ranting about. But I do agree with much of it.
We are almost 50 years old and we will NOT stay here once we hit 62. We already bought property out of state and will start to build in 5 yrs.
Just wanted to know if anyone had the same type info about their state?

California sucks. Weather is boring.... always warm. Beaches suck.... girls in bikinis is immoral. Tiwsty mountain roads are dangerous. You'd hate it here. Do not move here. It's crowded enough.

Colorado - Come and enjoy your visit, then please leave. (Stolen from an Oregon campaign of years ago and learned from California's plight)
