Well I got 88,888.5 going 88MPH photo came out so you can not read (see) the numbers clear...but at 88,888.8 going 0MPH with a cop stooped right behind me I have a very clear photo (somewhere) showing 88,888.8 and a ticket showing I was going 88MPH......... On this (now) Nomad, I do not think I will be taking any photos like that lol.

Well , I saw a biker get killed yesterday, He was on a Kaw. An elderly lady pulled out in front of him and as he was going at a pretty good speed in a 45mph zone......well , he center punched her and was dead almost instantly. I watched as the paramedics did the heart compressions and all but he never flinched . There was a pool of blood on the road that was bigger than his body. Today the fire truck came and washed it away.
As I looked at his boots I thought...he put his boots on just this morning not knowing that the morgue would be taking them off for him tonight.

Well, we all take our lives into our own hands everyday when we get outta bed. We do it when we get into a car and drive, cross a street, step into a elevator, etc.

When I was 27 years old, I was test riding a 1981 Harley FLH, just after making repairs and installing muffled drag pipes on her when a guy came into my lane, and hit me head on. I was doing 35 and he was slowing down, came into my lane to do a left turn into a side street. There were 3 things that saved my life that day.
1. He was driving a small pickup truck....
2. The Harley is a heavy strong bike....
3. I was wearing a helmet....
I crashed directly into the middle of the bumper, sheared the motor mounts, stopped the engine from running, I went over the handlebars, hit the windshield, turned a flip over the cab, tumbled thru a bunch o crap he had in the bed, knocked the tailgate open, slide about 25 yards on my face, hit my head on a curb, stopped.
A paramedic lived 2 houses over, just got off work, saw the accident, and came over to revive me. I really woke up at home 3 weeks later, having a really bad concussion, and other injuries.
The bike when it plowed into the frontend, pivoted at the tripletree, and the only thing that kept me from loosing my left foot was the big bulge in the primary cover and the clutch basket didn't allow to bike to slam all the way against the front bumper, saving my foot. My ankle was crushed, all the tendons strained, some torn loose

Yea, I know whats its like to take you life into your hands in or on a vehicle. It took me about 5 1/2 months to learn to walk again, and I have R. Arthiritis in my ankle, knees, back and arms, herniated discs in my neck. Dr. told me I'd be using a cane to walk by the time I was 35.

I stopped riding for about 5 years, then hopped back on. I'm in my 50's now. I started riding when I was 12.
I prefer just to go to sleep and not wake up, thats the preferable way to go. If I go out on my bike, all I want is for it to be quick, out on the interstate. It'll only hurt for a moment.........
Live Your Life, Do The Things You Love, Experience The World, Only Get To Experience It Once, Go For The Gusto! RideHard-DieFast!
I'll stop riding when I can't hold onto the handlebars anymore.........
