Knocking around 2500 RPM in OD

Anybody hear a knocking around 2500 RPM in overdrive or in 5th gear? Goes away if I increase the RPM' to 3,000. It seems to be related to heat. Rode this winter and did not hear it at all. I have a 2016 Voyager. I use Premium Gas. Thoughts?

Welcome to the forum!

If you are still breaking this bike in it will get better with some miles. Mine was much stronger after 1,000 miles. If you haven't done the Ivan flash I would highly recommend that for more power and a better running bike overall.

I have about 2,000 miles on the bike and it is still breaking in. What is the Ivan Flash?

Sounds to me like you are lugging the engine and it's pinging.
Keep the RPM higher at least 2500 or more.

With a stock ECU and premium fuel, the engine shouldn't ping at 2500 RPM no matter what gear you are in. If for some strange reason it is pinging, then the Ivan flash will only make it worse. At 2000 miles there shouldn't be much carbon build-up either.
Does the noise sound like pinging (ignition knock) or is it a deeper sounding bearing or gear knock?
