I used to use Coolanol, but couldn't find any the last time I needed some. I went to a Kaw dealer and bought the Kawasaki brand "Aluma Cool". You have to mix it 50/50 with distilled water.

I won't use Prestone, Peak or any of the other automotive coolants in my bike.

I just changed mine two weeks ago. I used the Honda premix that comes in a blue bottle. About $5 qt. but I have the confidence that it's good stuff and is already premixed.

Changed mine last summer and used prestone 50-50, safe in all motors and contains NOTHING like silcas, etc to mess up seals.

But it doesn't say safe for all motorcycle cooling systems, does it? I'm not going to risk it just to save a few bucks. I've yet to see a motorcycle shop that sells Prestone by the gallon.

Honda cool in the blue bottle. These systems hold 2.5 QUARTS, and I just don't care to mess up, and am not convinced anything else is silica free. If you trash the water pump water pump seal it will trash the water pump engine to oil seal!
