I was sitting in my front yard and hear this great sounding bike turn on to the street from the front highway. Lo and behold, a blue and silver Nomad. I jumped on mine and went looking for the owner. Turns out he was visiting a friend who lives on the next street. I stopped and introduced myself and looked his bike over. I'm thinking it's an '08 but it turned out to be a carbed '05. This bike is immaculate with 8,000 miles. He purchased it at Mike Bruno's Bayou Country Harley Davidson. The only mod I noticed was the V & H pipes. Stock intake with both dog dishes. I gave him all of the information for KawaNOW and urged him to join up. He seemed very interested.

Its always fun to catch another owner on a nomad, last week at a funeral procession ride caught a guy with an 03' seems crazy how odd it is that more dealerships dont stock them!

Saw one just today at a local chicken joint in Tomball. Great paint, I'd be proud to claim this one! So, is you're listening, speak up.

I have yet to cross paths by happenstance with another Nomad owner. I'm still waiting.

BTW, I didn't realize the 05's could come carbed. I thought all 05's were EFI (mine is). Was this stock?

There are VERY few Nomads around here, so I haven't had the chance to track anyone down. Good job!

I don't know if he knew for sure. I noticed the aftermarket pipes and asked if a fuel processor was installed. He then told me it had carburetors. He's only had it less than a month, in fact, the temporary license was still in the frame.

We took a ride up north today and stopped for gas. While I'm filling up a guy on an 08 pulled in behind me. I gave him two of the cards I carry with the kawaNow info. He said his uncle has a Nomad also. His was the slower red and black one
He had cobra pipes, sounded good.

I keep running into Nomad owners every once in awhile along the Front Range. There were two riding with a group of what I determined to be metrics in Lyons, CO last Sunday parked at and near Red Hill Motorcycle Werks.

BTW, there are not carbed '05s that I am aware of.

we've got about 4 or 5 Nomad riders around this area. It's odd to me how un-common they are.

I see about 6-8 around here, but am always going the wrong way (and usually late for wherever I am supposed to be) when I see them....

Running around the tri-cities,Wa area I have seen a few but I'm never on my Nomad when I do. I'm going to a bike/car show today so maybe I'll run into a couple.
