Hawaii KAWANOW Rally 2010

The Hawaii Nomad riders state rally for 2010 will be held this weekend on Maui!!!!

I will meet up with myself at the Beach Bums in Maalaea at 9am Saturday 4-3-10 for Breakfast and Bloody Marys. After which our group of one will take a ride around West Maui Mountains with a stop in Kuhakaloa for lunch. There will be a short break for swimming at the pristine pools just west of Kuhakaloa after which our group will proceed to Lahaina where a slow cruse down Front Street to show off to the tourist will be held. Our group will then proceed to the group headquarters in Pukalani for a cookout and poker party with freinds.

I'm sure I will have a large time and hopefully next year our group will grow to two riders. Of course non Nomad riders are encorged to join in the rally but for now we are a rally of one.

Aloha and happy trails..... it's Spring, time for working on the bikes is over, let's ride;D

Hawaii KAWANOW Rally 2010

One of my sons was having a drink in a bar on Maui last summer and the local H.O.G Chapter was there, and they were selling t-shirts for their annual chili cook-off. My son picked me up one of the shirts.

I've been curious ever since, what would a H.O.G chapter do for a ride, laps around the island? It's not like they could ride anywhere else.

Just wondering...

Bubba, are you still planning on coming to our South central rally in June? It would be a privilege to have you with us. Gumbo, potato salad, and barbecue in on the menu for the cookout. Crate the Nomad up and ship it here a couple of weeks in advance. Don't forget to bring along the grass skirts for the party by the campfire. Looking forward to seeing you there. ;)

cactusjack, that's about it. 100 miles or so is about all we can get in and that duplicates a few roads. But man what a ride. Ocean to 10,000 feet above sea level, tropical rain forest to cactus desert to lava fields with all the twisties you could pray for. Good roads too, no bad weather to cause pot holes and lots of watering holes to stop at!

Cajunrider, would LOVE to but not this year. Have my eye on a mainland road trip next year and Yes it will be in your neck of the woods. Have family all over the southeast.

Lets see, grass skirts, flower leis, fresh sushi, man the bags are already filling up! ;)

Hey Bubba! Enjoy the rally! Did you get a 2010 Rally shirt made? I'm going to have to check to see if the shop will be done with my Lear jet in time for me to fly out there and join you!

Have a great time!

James,
Sounds like a great Rally. You can't have a good rally without a t-shirt...so I took the liberty to design one for ya.... ;) ! Hope you have a great time and take lots of pictures to share with the group... ;)!

I would ride out and join you but haven't figured out how I can ride The Nomad across the Pacific. The other problem would be getting gas while in the middle of the ocean.

Hope you have a nice rally though. Would be nice to be in Hawaii.

Skeeter, that was what I was trying to think of but slipped my mind. Maybe we could mount those on our Nomad and cruise on over.
