I'm out in the garage cleaning up, muttering to myself as usual when the wife walks in and asks, "Are you talking to yourself?"

"Yes , I am."

She further inquires, "Why?"

"It's the only intelligent conversation I ever get."

Yeah, I slept on the couch that night.

We never learn do we............I offered to cook the other night (I like to cook), and made the mistake of telling the wife I like my cooking better than hers. I had to back pedal rapidly.

We're getting to that stage in life (age) where our conversations go kinda like this. Her in the bedroom, me in the kitchen.........She "Did you stop at the store?" Me "The door's already shut" Her "Did you just call me a slut?! Me "No, those pants look just fine on your butt!"

And so it goes.

I love sleeping on the couch.
It's kinda like camping and closer to the frigerater.
