Has anyone installed a Wompus rack on a 1700 Nomad? There are no pictures on his site and I would like to see how much frame and saddlebag support is visible after the install. Any pictures?

Have you considered the tour pak and mount offered by Kawi for the 1700 Nomad? Tombstone has it on his bike and it looks very sharp!

Funny, I saw comments but no real answer or picture. One would think Wompus work post a pic. I just bought a 2010 Nomad. I really wanted a Voyager, but stupidly bid on Nomad on E-Bay and ended up winning, and now will have to try to upgrade the bike. I looked at the4 Kaw site and it said something about .For the Vulcan 1700 Nomad this Trunk Pad only fits optional 99994-0175 Trunk Kit, but if you search for it. I get part not found.

I am interested a well. I took off the trunk from my 900 before I traded it for my nomad. Does anyone know if the wompus rack has a quick release option for it?

I think Kawasaki only made a limited number of those trunk kits a year or so ago.

Nothing for the rack, but you can put a Givi topcase on it and that will quick release.

Put a Harley trunk on it, they are big, solid and readily available. Maybe a bit pricey by the time your done, but a great accessory to have.

The trunk kit from Kawasaki was anything but cheap. Probably more than buying a HD tourpak brand new.

Do you have the HD quick detachable kit on your bike?

No, not the quick-detachable. I forget which models come stock with that, I want to say the Road Glide Ultra does. I don't know if I'd add it or not, since I then have 2 antennas to relocate. I may be interested in a relocator kit made by a third party that moves the tourpack rearward by up to 2.5" though.
