All I know is that when you go thru the "DRAGON's TAIL" you better be in control of your ride.

Yup. Horsepower can get you into trouble fast on a big bike that can't change direction quickly.

He passes too hard, at the wrong point, he's afraid to lean it to the pegs, and he panics. Listen carefully and you'll hear him lock up the rear brake. Basically this guy made every mistake he could have made except literally getting himself run over by the RV.

Well, somebody in the car appropriately named him, "Fu*king Idiot!"

I may be riding the Dragon next week for the first time. I have no plans whatsoever to attempt to pass anyone no matter how slow they are going. Heck, I'll probably be the slowest one anyway.

It was certainly a lack of skill on the bikers part, thats for sure.

The comments in the car are indicative of how some people see us (they're on bikes so they must be the type that will kick our asses).

Electra Glide going down...

Saw this video about a year ago on a RV forum. They left because they were afraid the bikers would go after them "and beat their asses." Then after they leave the guys says, "I would have stopped if I had a place to pull over." Yeah right dude. The gal. Priceless. "Why would they do that?" ::) Just have to shake my head when I hear that comment. ::)

Still yes, not knowing how to corner can get you into trouble. I almost did about ten years ago on a poker run. Fortunately didn't crash. Had a guy on a sport bike who was following me, educated me on how to corner correctly.

It's almost as if he wanted to go that way. I have to apologize, as I laughed when I saw it. I don't know why, but it just seemed preposterous.

I think the RV was putting along and the Harleys came on then faster than they figured. They passed at that point because with their skill level it was either that or hit the RV.
The second guy almost went in after his buddy. His back tire locks for a second also.

Bob, running the Dragon can be a really fun experience (IMO). Things I try to remember along the way: break before the curve (not in it), countersteer and accelerate (slightly) through the curve, and watch out for the "crotch rockets" (ahead and behind) trying to do the Dragon "at speed" and the cagers stopped or taking wide curves to do their sight seeing. Best time to do the Dragon is during the week (more crowded on weekend). Anyhow, that's just my 2cw

Good tips buckeye. It's going to be a weekday for sure. Either Wednesday or Thursday.
