If only they made the car tire with wide white walls! I just ordered 2 rear tires for my bike. One for the front and one for the rear.

They DO make car tires with wide whitewalls. Unfortunately, it's only on one side so it would look kinda buggered up. So you're putting a rear MC tire on the rear and another rear MC tire on the front? Let's see....a CT on the rear/MC tire on the front is a "darkside" and a CT on the rear/rear MC tire on the front is a "double darkside". Dunno what you'd call it in your case.

What's a "cargo tire"? If you're talking about a light truck tire, blowndodge has one on his Nomad. I would think a 6 ply would ride like a rock. I had some 8 ply tires on a truck once. I might as well have welded the suspension solid all the good it did. I don't know anything about that tire you're talking about but what you're looking for is a tire with some fairly rounded corners.

The reason I was thinking this size is because it will fix the speedo and is approx the same size as the original.

Forget about trying to fix speedo error and get a tire that will handle.

I tried that truck tire shit and finally gave up, it handled like crap, went with a birdgesotne touranza 195-60-16 and 22,000 miles later it is still wearing like iron and handles great.

lol

I would love to try riding on the dark side before I put it on my motor. But none of my friends have gone that way. So I guess I'll be the first one to try this. Cant wait to get started. Hope to see you all on a Trip Far Far Away..

I've NEVER heard any first hand account of someone having a problem with their CT. I hear alot of "it must be bad because it's not a MC tire" but that's all. I don't have one on my bike but I'll put one on there if I keep it long enough.

yesterday i went double darkside, put a Turanza 195/60/16 on the back and a rear Michelin Commander II 150/80/16 on the front. I've read before running the CT at 40 psi for the first few hundred miles before dropping the pressure down is supposed to be correct. At 40 it's a bit firm over bumps and stuff, right after mounting my gal and I rode about 100 miles and it handles great.
