Watch the weather ...

I am NOT freaking out fellow SE Noamd riders but we watch the storms real close. After 2004 - 2006, we had 3 hit us and it wasn't any fun.
I keep the NOAA site on my favorites but shun the local "panic" news casts.
Lets enjoy the good weather on the back roads....

+1

Round here, everyone gets all riled up about possible storms. My attitude is to watch with some caution and if it is coming this way, then do what has to be done.

Looks like the two out in the Atlantic are going to pass us by right now.

Thats me, watch the National Hurrican Center site and be prepared, other than that there is really nothing you can do. We chose to live where we do? It is nice though when the storms aren't around. Got to love fishing and riding!!

Welcome to the board George.

We have been lucky over here on the west coast, north of St. Pete/Tampa. 26 years and only one storm that kinda wavered off the coast and then went north-west. We actually had the "No Name Storm" back in 1993 that tore up Crystal River. It was too early in the spring to be considered a hurricane or tropical depression but we got winds in excess of 75 mph and had 6 feet of water in the down town area.

We don't usually have too much of a problem here in north Alabama from the hurricanes. Either last year or year before we had one that came up from south Alabama and we even got a lot of wind from it. We had a lot of rain today. That is usually all the hurricanes do to us. Hope you guys are all okay down your way.

Back when the 3 or 4 hurricanes came thru here we kinda got numb to them. Now anything below a Cat 2 is still riding weather.

Over the past couple weeks if your wanting to ride your going to have to ride in the rain. Not that I care about it but sunny weather is preferred.

On the bright side, when the northerners are snowed in we are still out there.

The weather seems to keep a look out for me...lol and all the roads seem to be in cahoots. My favorite part is when I get back to the house and take a warm shower.
