OK..

Don't expect a lot here...but my digital cam does avi's also and I thought I'd like to show some of the folks on here our nice motorcycle roads up around the Blue Ridge Parkway...so the cam is basically just hanging around my neck while I'm riding.

A couple things...the cam hung down close to the tank so the engine noise...WOW..I never knew it was there like THAT..guess it just a function too of where the mic was..so all of you out there with new nomads....this IS the sound they make with no mods...nothings wrong!!

You can kind of get an idea of what the V&H baggers sound like in between the wind noise for those wondering.

This is a road (HWY 8) that runs down from the BRP...got the idea to try the cam about half way down...notice the truck pulling the camper at the beginning....he took that curve entirely in my lane...whew!!!

OK..so here's some of the twisties my wife and I took yesterday on our 260 mile little ride.

OH, I had to skimp a little on the quality to get it to download sorta fast to photobucket...sorry.

Todd! Man thank you for that video. It absolutely proves that the valve noise is nomal. I have been trying to convince myself to live with it but I don't think I can do it. I will try for a bit longer but if it goes as it has been then there is probably a Gold Wing in the near future. I don't think the Harleys or anything else makes that much valve noise but I've been wrong before.

Pipes do the trick...believe me...I was shocked when I first played this to hear the engine sound as much as it showed up.

Thanks bro, nice trip. if you change to V&H pipes you can't hear the valve train. Works for me!

The wierd thing is I have never heard valve noise come from my bike. The only issues i had was pinging during long hot rides due to being to lean from factory. Put my PCIII on and it cured it all.

Not Stock.....those are V&H Baggers.....I guess I didn't make it too clear....thats why I never hear the engine sounds that came through on the video.....I just hear the rumble...keep in mind that the camera was only about 3-4 inches above the tank as you can see by the angle.

Those are V&H baggers...no Power Commander yet...no other engine mods......waiting on my free PCIII from Trip along with all these free Nomad parts he keeps sending.
