A few of the South Central Nomads met in Hot Springs Arkansas this weekend, we had 7 Nomads and 8 folks. We rode up to Mena and rode the Talimena National Scenic Byway and then went to Mount Magazine. You can go here for a few pictures, I am sure some others will post some also.

Made it home about 12:30. Had a great time, even if it was short. We did some serious riding yesterday in the Ozarks. Jamie

Darlene and I arrived home @ 8:20 pm. We would have been home for 6:00 pm but stopped at Evangeline Downs in Opelousas, LA for 2 1/2 hours. We had a nice trip back. The route we took coming back is 21 miles shorter but nearly 3 hours quicker being interstate over 3/4 of the way. We had a great time riding and it was so good to see everyone again. Jamie and Jessie, it was great meeting both of you. I'm sure we will all get together again soon. Jim Dooley, you were a great ride leader on those fantastic roads. You showed us that a person from the South doesn't have to ride all the way up North to find challenging roads to ride with great scenery. Thanks to all for a great weekend. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. Too tired to fool with them now.

Did you guys eat any fried baloney? Glad everyone had a good trip and made it home OK. Wish I could have been there. I was on call this weekend for work. Tried, but couldn't get out of it.

Mt. Magazine is a beautiful place. Been there several times. Mt. Nebo is nice also.

Thanks for sending that text Mitch. Made me wish I was here.

The tire performed great Larry. I kept 34 psig for both trips and the Saturday all day ride. In fact, it handled so well that I've scraped chrome off of the bottoms of my Valkyrie exhaust tips. I've got about 1,650 miles on it now with no complaints. I'm sold. ;)

Al, I put the same tire that CJ and a whole lot of Nomad riders on the Darkside Forum installed. The Dunlop SP 5000 195/60-R16. It's a great tire.

Lots of baloney Trip, Old Bikers was there. But none fried this time. When I sent you that text, I was sitting outside of the room drinking a cold one with the guys. Even the girls were sipping the bottled margaritas. We had a great time, it was just too short.

Glad everyone had a great time. I enjoyed meeting everyone and putting faces with the names of more Nomad riders. Now I know where Beach Grove, AR is.

I found 2 Nomads parked within 1/2 mile of where I work today. I am going to try to make contact with them and get them to join us for a ride sometime. Maybe potential members, all they need is an invitation.
