Lost my clutch. Hydraulic problem?
So yesterday while out ridding my clutch started to slip.
So I parked the bike and trailered it home. I have no free play now, and the slave seems to not fully release pressure off the clutch when I release the clutch lever. So its slipping the clutch all the time. Today I did some inspecting and this is what I found so far. Now before this happened I bleed the system, and cleaned the slave cylinder up as I was having a problem with the clutch engagement being way out at the end of the travel. That changed nothing. So what do you guys think I should do to solve this? Login or Register to Remove Ads |

What VS said! rebuild your MS, rebuild your slave cyl. also....new fluid....should be golden....
The crap in there thats making your MS malfunction can travel down that brake line and screw the slave up, too.....

Great Vid and Great Quality of Vid. Sad to say I waited 4 years for the clutch and brake flush. But I did notice clouds of something in the clutch reservoir. So after dabbing it out I lost the seal and let air in. Once again for me a simple process was made difficult It was f'ed up but I was happy, just because I did not let the cloud go in to the lines. After the bleed I was good, took a while cuz I am a rookie.
Makes me wonder If I let it go, longer than I did? Brakes did not have a cloud floating in the fluid. Sorry but yes a rebuild would be the next logical step. I feel your pain. So sorry to hear Brother, but it looks like you got this. And thanks for Sharing this information. Big help for others down the line.

So I fixed the problem.
It was a bad master cylinder. I rebuilt it and it works perfectly now! |
