Dadiof8, Mileage- Does it really matter that much? You correct the short comings of the required limitations so it runs cooler, has linear/smoother acceleration, wow factor +++. For better mileage get a lighter ride, smaller bike.
I also pull a trailer and my mileage increased (sometimes) but now when pulling and I need to move in a hurry it's there to get the job done.

Pipes - I have the Cobra Tri-Ovals, which seem to have been an issue with hitches. But Joe (Chuckster) was able to design his hitch with low profile attachments. I would bet it will fit. Could ask Joe, he is one great person to deal with.

I had a Chuckster's hitch on my bike and installed it with no problem at all. No modifications needed. The hitch got bent up in my accident.

I now have this hitch below on my bike I do believe it is a better quality and stronger by far.

Thanks for the replies. I sent my ECU to Ivan and should have it back at the end of this week. Looking forward to consistently warmer weather!

So I've had my Ivan's flash installed on my 2016 Vaq for about a year now. Cannot say enough good things about it.
Before the flash, I was questioning whether I had made the right decision ( first 600miles), now I enjoy the bike more each time I ride it. In fact, I'm know contemplating adding a Voyager to compliment it. If I do, first thing I will do is have it Ivanised. I have a spare ECU, so as soon as I decide to buy, it'll be getting sent off for flashing.

Anyone else having a hard time getting used to 6th gear after the flash update? it really feels like it needs 6th at about 3000 rpm but when I shift, it's too low so I end up going back to 5th. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

I was thinking the same thing when I was out yesterday. Cruzing along 110-120KMH shifted to 6 and than shifted back, just didn't feel.....right for lack of a better word......Mike

Not at all. I’m in 5th and 6th at speeds as low as 40pmh now. Couldn’t even try that if you wanted to when it was stock. The bike would have bucked me off like a bronco!

I live in Northeast PA, there basically isn’t a flat road around here.

Not a chance on mine. If I went down to 70kph which is 43mph in 6th I'd be bucked off, 5th I just could as long as I didn't try to acceleratate and it was level ground.
I don't feel comfortable in 6th at 110KPH which is 68MPH. 5th just feels right at that speed. Got enough oomph to pull if I have to yet not beating the crap out of the engine which is at 3000± at that speed.
I never paid attention to the speeds that I shift at. I will next time I go out..............mike

Thank you for understanding the question MrMikey. Exact answer to the question. Glad it's not just me and that's the same " not right" feeling I get going into 6th at 70 mph or 3000 rpm like before the updated flash. End up down shifting and staying in 5th. Not saying it's wrong just odd getting used to waiting until 80mph to use 6th

I never had Ivans flash before I sold my Voyager. The flash was not available in 2014.
After I installed an aftermarket fuel processor and Chucksters intake I had no trouble using 6th gear at 90 kmph and I never felt like I was lugging the engine.

MrMikey and Bo1966, do you have an aftermarket intake ?

Nope. Stock intake with V&H pipes. It's no big deal. Just asking if anyone else noticed the shift change after the 2nd update

Finally got back out to ride with all this damn rain.

5th gear, 40mph and 1400 rpm went into 6th at 50mph and 1800rpm if I remember the RPM’s correctly for when I was in 6th. This is putting down the 45mph road here in my town, like I do on all the backroads around here. Will double check 6th gear next time I go out, maybe get her to video it for me too. No beating the crap out of the engine. Bike is happy, couldn’t even try to do that when stock. Grab the throttle and go. I just have the flash nothing else.

Just got mine back Friday so the stock ride was fresh on my mind and the first thing i noticed was the same as BonVoyager. Low speeds in 5th or 6th and just coasting easily no more motor breaking.

I have found after the flash I can run 6th at 70 but still not feeling it, better but not great. At 80mph it is better. But I can not compare it to a Voyager since the clutch vibrations are different than my Vaquero. Because the clutch is different. I have not been out on the freeway for some time and I just towed home a Trailer, I was not liking it even in 5th at 70. Just repacked the bearings today And need new lights then I can re-evaluate the vibrations. But It was about the same without the trailer on the way to pick it up.
