Oct 18th BRP Leaf viewing ride

The best weekend to view the leaves from south to north. Start, I-40 and 221 Marion, 11:00, ride to Blowing Rock for lunch, then continue north up to 21 near Stone Mountain, then you are own youe own.

Dang! My wife has a conference that weekend in Wilmington. :-[

Since I help her set it up (and take it down) I will have to miss this trip. :'(

When you sat start I-40 and 221 Marion. Is Marion a town in SC?

You're thinking about the one down near Florence Unwind2. Which is closer to the coast.

I was in Asheville/Hendersonville area last weekend.
Hope the gas situation improves for those of you going on this ride. Gas was really a problem!!
Didn't have any problem around Boone or in VA, KY And TN.
But Asheville was really a mess!!

Just found out that I have a college open house for one of my kids that is trying to decide where she wants to go on that Saturday. Looks like I am out.

yep it is on, with one adjustment for time.

Meeting point is Marion NC at I-40 and Highway 226. Plan is to ride 226 up to parkway and ride it over to Blowing Rock. Lunch and then on to wherever. Meet time is 10:00am

My sister has a bed and breakfast up on the new river in Baldwin and says THIS IS, the weekend for the leaves. She has lived their 35 years, so I think she might be right.

Be at 40 and 226 Saturday at 10, or you might as well watch Duke football. lol
