Made it to Tennessee

Am I settled in yet? Not quite. Bought a house and closed on it on Dec 18. Been camping out ever since. Flew back to Seattle over Christmas, drove my truck back and brought all of the plants that Nancy wanted to bring.

Our poor little dwarf Orange tree took a beating. Broke a small branch and froze a bunch of leaves. But, It's gonna make it. That tree made the trip from California to Seattle. It sat in the back yard, unprotected for three years , got moved into the sun room when I built it and produced two crops of unedible oranges. It should have a better life down here.

I'm heading back up to Seattle next weekend to get Nancy and the furniture. It's just been too long without her. Call me an old softee, but I truly love and miss my wife.

The Seattle house is still on the market. I've lowered the price about $15K since the end of October. May have to just shrug and take the beating. Fortunately, I'm not upside down. Discouraging. Hate to watch my retirement plans go away. Guess I'll just have to keep working beyond my planed retire age of 67.

Anywho, I was hoping to take a ride today. Weather was nice, no rain. Bike has been sitting outside since December 20. Guess what needed charging.... I've got it on life support (Battery Tender) even as I type. Bloody thing takes forever. Maybe tomorrow morning before the rains start. Maybe.

The good thing is that warmer weather is just around the corner. Days are getting longer and the temps are above freezing. Sweet....

Made it to Tennessee

John,
Glad to hear things are falling into place for you down there. I had breakfast awhile back with the guy who bought your old Nomad up here....Larry Littrell. He is a fairly new member here as well after I worked him over a bit... . He works a goofy schedule so we have not had a chance to hook up for a ride yet. He really likes the bike though!

Hope you and Nancy get settled soon and things get a little more back to normal for you!

Cheers....Kris
