3 long months, but I have here now...

Picked-up my new Ultra-Limited today from the dealer. I purchased it prior to Christmas and was only able to see it once, because it went right into the dealer's climate-controlled winter storage facility -- where it remained for 3-months.

Yesterday it was 56 degrees here. This morning is is a blustery 34 degrees with 30mph winds. I opted to trailer it home, and I am glad I did. I just about froze strapping it into the trailer.

However, on the way to the dealer we saw three motorcyclists riding in that weather. I can tell you without a doubt... they had to be frozen after while. Geez... No way for me. No fun riding when it is that cold.

I hoped to ride my bike before the end of March, but it looks like that might be pushing it. I will not count riding around the dealer's Rider's Edge course out back as officially riding the bike.

We'll see though. I am just glad to have it here in my own garage finally. Nothing sucks more than buying a new bike and not seeing or riding it!

Cindy's is still at the dealers. Even if we could trailer it home I have no place to put it at the moment.
The garage is full and the shed is blocked with snow.

I feel her pain Tim. Besides this winter being as brutally cold and long as any I have ever seen; the thought of having a bike and not seeing it was not much fun either.

I need to have a sunny day for the pics to turn out. The color is really affected by sunlight. Without any, it simply looks dark maroon. With sunlight, the red pops-out. I like the color overall, but it is not my favorite choice. They simply did not offer many choices with the Limited this year. They probably will next year!

This photo is of a Ultra Classic rather than a Limited, but it is exactly this color combination. Like I said, not my first choice, but it will do.

Take care on riding to far from the fire in cold weather..it can hurt you..I speak from experience !

Congrats Greg. That color looks great.
Around here looking at the conditions I'd say we will be lucky to get out by mid April probably late April is more like it.
That's 4-6 weeks later than normal.

Now you know you don't have a bike in your garage until there are photos!!!
Get a move on! Put the jug down and mosey out there with a camera and get it done!

I am targeting riding it for a bit next Sunday. We may have a one-day break in the weather to 56 degrees then.

Until then it is supposed to remain cold with some some light snow and rain most days... But if I ride next Sunday, I will have accomplished my goal of riding in March -- barely.
