Headlight visor question:

I have an '03 Nomad 1500. I am looking to buy a headlight visor. Do I need a 7" or 7 1/2" visor? Thanks.

You need a 7" visor. Take your headlight ring off, mark where it goes, slide it in from the rear. Doublecheck alignment. Pull ring back off run a bead of clear silicone between headlight flange and visor flange. Press the together....I use a couple of spring loaded clamps will silicone set up good....
Polish, install, and enjoy....
I put my bike up on the jack, use a level, just press level against headlight, raise level against underside of visor, twist to you get it level. Mark the very edge with a marksalot. When you silicone, use these marks to line it up....

Hey, my mistake! I'm sorry, sometimes my brain jumps a notch........you have a 7" headlight, but need a 7 1/2" Visor....theres 7" on od, then theres a 1/8" or so gap between light and rim, lip of the visor sits in against the inside of the headlight rim, hold a tape up to the front of the light, you'll see....

I have a set of 3 visors I took off my 07 1600. They were on when I bought the bike. They're nice, but not really my thing. If you havent gotten any yet, mine are available. Id hate to seem them go to waste.
