Waving I am officially an owner again! Been a LONG time

Pulled the trigger on my first bike in a very long while. I bought a 2001 1500 Classic. It is in pretty good shape all considered and my hope is to put a few miles on it to get "back in the groove" and also confirm that I enjoy cruising as much as I think I will.
I appreciate all the advice and patience, and want to say " thanks in advance" for putting up with really silly questions, like what is in your "ride away kit", etc.
I am going to try and resist the urge to "dress her up" very much for a while, but there are some things like arm rests for the "boss" and a rear hard shell case that are on the immediate list. All of this will be after a visit to my local dealer or reliable shop to see what it really needs to be ready for a decent trip, besides the guy sitting in the seat getting a little recent experience!
Insurance is done, tomorrow off to get all the paperwork done, then maybe a few minutes on the road.

Congratulations! I took a 25+ year break until my kids were off on their own. My 2003 Nomad was like a dream bike, it just fit. That was around 5 years ago, a few changes and still, am reminded often just how big the girl is. Enjoy yours and welcome to the land of many, many questions.
