New Transcontinental Touring bike from Japan.

Yamaha has confirmed they are unveiling a new touring bike on June 5 at Americade, and live streamed for all to see. They show a teaser graphic of a wide v front fairing with 4 headlamps. I found this spy photo on another forum.

One person said a Golding and a Victory had a kid and this was the result. Time will tell.

not exacty a tilting 3-wheeler....

1st time around the Vmax was based on the Venture, looks like they flipped the script for this one. I will guesstimate it might be a tad larger than the V-Max's 1700 ccs, with more low-end torque of course.

It's the other way around. The Royal Star Venture had a detuned VMax motor.

You don't understand. The Royal Star Venture (up through it's end in about 2014) not only had a cassette player (and not the most integrated stereo at all) but also had carbs. Not really what you'd call "modern".

redjay was making fun of the "modern tourer" with an old school cassette and I was making fun of the same "modern tourer" with carbs.

It was nice to see Yamaha acknowledging all the customized rides in the picture gallery.
Pictures of highly customized bikes with their proud owners.
I understand it was promotional, but it is still a good move in my book.
