Dumb Bear

This Place Has really died down. Ponch lets get it going again.

Dumb Bear has been here at the house 6 times in 11 days, knocking the fence over and searching
around for some food. We stop feeding the birds when the weather warms because of the bears,
practicing for the big coming out party. We have lived here for 40 years and have been only bothered
by 3 bears in that time. They would come here and make a mess and not be seen again, No Big Deal!
Dumb Bear keeps coming around and makes a mess for us to fix, ASSHOLE!
Had the Fish & Wildlife Warden here yesterday, giving us some tips on how to discourage Dumb Bear.
So now the wife has hung aluminium pie plates on a few places along the fence that are
favored for entry points and on the trees we usually hang the bird feeders from.
If you have had a similar experience with bear and have found a sure fire way to be rid of the pesky
ones, I would love to hear from you.

Whatever you do, make sure the porridge is either too hot or too cold.

Fish & Wildlife won't trap & move it? Spring Bear season is on in many zones here with lots of bears. Interesting report from last year as to why more are showing up where they didn't use to.

Nope, Game Warden wants us to make noise and yell at the bear when he comes back, says a bad experience and no food for reward, will make him decide not to come back. The pie plates clanking in the breeze is keeping the bear away (I think), but the neighbors have been coming over. Thay want to know whats going on, and then they think the pie plate noise is unneccessary. Too Bad!

The Warden says they don't want to move the bears because they will probably not do well in a new territory that already has bears. We are a very small state. Thanks for the article!

Warden says they won't allow it. Too Bad!

At least it's the wrong time of the year for rotting apples on the ground.

Saw this one on the web, something similar might work. Obviously one of the Halloween type pranks.

Loafer since your having bear problems, I contacted my nephew in Alaska asking his advice on what you should know. He sent me this chart about bears. Hope it helps you in the future.
