I don't see one on my future at $32,000 Canadian, or $20,000 Canadian for that matter.

Right now, my future is a remodeled master bathroom, kitchen and new flooring through the house. If I ever got a brand new bike, I'd probably have to get her a new house.

Many valve and 2nd gear issues reported with the drivetrain. The new tranny should hhelp with one of those.

Seriously air cooled though. Those intakes belong on a jet fighter, not a motorbike.

I'm really impressed with the look, and am very impressed with the Strat engine. I have a good friend who is on his second Strat, and they are amazing machines.
That being said, I still love my 1600.

Very heavy and expensive. Japanese reliability, but like some said, air/oil cooled vtwin with fairings might not be great in hot climes. When you go to the $25K+ touring market, there are other choices. 963lbs though. That's a lot for a modern bike. I guess they put the development into other parts of the bike.

"963lbs" ? That's only about 100 lbs more than what the basic Stratoliner weighs. The Strat is so well balanced, it feels like a 450~500 lb bike.

It's 393lbs more than my bike. I doubt it performs as well.

Your bike is a sport touring bike Jim. Can't compare the two. You bike would get stomped by any of the 1400-1600 sport bikes. I like the new Yamaha. Cliff just bought a new BMW 1200 RT and he said it's a lot noisier on the highway than his old V4 Venture Yamaha was.

If you are talking about stomped. Most modern 250cc bikes would stomp any cruiser. Not sure about the beer carrying capacity though.

Any 250 would stomp your bike. Your bike is usually torn apart or its stuck in a hedge
