Just For Starters

As you probably know we have a National Rally in odd numbered years.

Two regions in the U.S. have yet to host a National Rally. The NorthWest and the NorthEast.
Although each region doesn't have to host a rally I wanted to look at possibilities in those areas.
With that in mind I ask Tom Maziarz (Tomm) the N.E. U.S. Region leader to look for possible locations.
After checking on a number of places it was decided that Lake George, New York would be a great spot.
So Lake George it is. The area has plenty to do and see and the roads in the Adirondacks will be fun to ride.
The dates will be in mid July.

While I realize that a rally in New York will prove difficult for some to attend I still believe it's an excellent location.

I want to thank Tom for his efforts. He has put in a lot of work getting things done.
I'm confident that the Northeast and CanadaEast regions will be excellent hosts.
I also want to thank Tim, Norm and Dave who along with Tom will be planning rides and working to make the rally a success.

Tom will be posting specific information regarding the rally very soon.

I hope to see you there.

vacation planning 2017 VBA Rally Group

So, I put a call in, waiting for a call back. I am thinking of making a family vacation out of this rally.

Just want to confirm a couple of things.
Continental breakfast
Basket ball court for son Cameron.
Free concerts at Shepard's Park Amphitheatre for the family
World Awareness Children's Museum for the family
Majestic Balloon Flights for me and one of the kids
Bennett's Horseback riding for the girls.

1 hour Cruse on a Paddlewheel Steamship name Minne-ha-ha.

Maybe room reservations can be confirmed tomorrow. I'll post again if so.

Yes there was, and it was in North Woodstock NH, just north of Lincoln NH. The group stayed at the Mt Coolidge Lodge / Motel. Going to your other thread on VT NH and Maine.

That was a regional rally, specifically Canada East and NE Regional Combo Rally, not a National. That was where I had the pleasure of meeting you and your rowdy Friends

Hey guys. I live in NY and go up to Lake George every June for Americade. Let me tell you from experience that it's some great riding. Once you leave town lots of long twisting roads in and out of towns. If your able to get your hands on a rally map, they suggest all different paths for rides in the area. With each suggestion it tells you the round trip miles and est. time.
Some rides I enjoyed were to Lake Placid (former Olympic site), Saratoga for a nice afternoon for lunch, horse racing or drinks and a ferry ride over to Vermont. We even rode up to Canada one year. Lots of good times even though the weather can be iffy at times with it being on a Lake. Beautiful scenery, fresh water Lake and plenty to see and do.
Little planning now for rides and things to do will make for a great time there.
Enjoy!
