Those Fallen Rock warning signs

Riding around this area we've all seen the 'Watch for Fallen Rock' signs.

Sometimes it actually happens!

Not as dramatic as the recent rock slide on I70, in Colorado, but I'll give more attention to those signs.

This same stretch of road along the Mississippi was closed a couple years back for a landslide in heavy rains.

It is a big rock, it does seem to be obeying the flag person with the slow sign though, thank goodness!

I seen a big rock slide in BC when I was driving through the Rockies. It happened just a couple minutes prior to us arriving and blocked the entire highway for a few hours until they got some heavy equipment up there to push them over the edge. I'm glad I wasn
t there a little bit sooner.

I drove past the hope slide in BC in the 70's. Amazing that a whole mountain can fall away and bury the town.

Geez... that was one of the bigger ones.

I wonder how easy other falling rocks will be to see when the hillside is in full foliage. Likely not until the last minute.

I get on that road quite a bit through the summer months... so now I'll pay extra attention to that area.

Damn. Will have to be extra vigilant along the Great River near PDC.
