My name is Bill Burke aka: Da Duke ~ my troopers from NJ gave me the name - it seems they could not pronounce "The Duke" which was my call sign. Retired Army SGM, I ride an 05 1600 Nomad ~ Blue and Platinum (same colors as my dress blues). I hail from Kentucky and live in Georgetown KY . Marilyn and I met a bunch of folks along the road on the way to the rally in Custer yesterday. Marilyn or "M" aka "Trinity" rides a black 2008 Vulcan 900 Classic (decked out like a baby Nad). We brought both bikes to Custer SD on a trailer and are hunkered down in Comfort Suites waiting for the festivities to begin. I also ride a 2000 Triumph Legend - say what you want but it will put a smile on anyone's face and my HD friends don't bash me for having the Triumph like they do for the Nad.
We hope to have a good time, meet new friends and see the sights here in Custer.
