Beware of phishing scam

I purchased the Ride Like a Pro IV DVD in April of this year, one month after acquiring my Nomad. Just this week I received an e-mail addresed from "Ride Like a Pro" stating that I had purchased one of their products and that there was a problem with my credit card or bank because the transaction had not been completed. There was an interactive form attached to the e-mail to fill out which would "verify" the purchase and run my card again. It required entering all of my information again including the credit card number. I became suspicious even though the e-mail contained the Ride Like a Pro trademark and looked and sounded very legitimate. I researched and found the charge on my April statement and copied and pasted the transaction and then e-mailed it to Donna who is motorman's wife. I did not reply to the inquiring e-mail. She immediately replied back stating that Godaddy, their server was hit with a phishing scam which resulted in fraudulent e-mails being sent to all of their business clients. She warned not to respond to the fraudulent e-mail and that they would never ask for personal information via e-mail. All of you who purchased Ride Like a Pro DVD's beware. It's very easy to fall into a trap like this one.

Beware of phishing scam

Got the same email. Looked phoney. Very simplistic scam.......So if I don't respond who's gonna make me send the DVD back?

Beware of phishing scam

I got one similar to that a couple of years ago. It claimed to be from PayPal and said about the same kind of stuff.

It's sort of like riding, you have to be ever vigilant.

It sure would be fun getting ahold of these sorry creeps and administering a few "behavior modification" techniques on them.
