Are there alternative replacements for he radiator cap and thermostat for an'06 Nomad? I looked at OEM prices and almost tossed my lunch at the prices.

1996 Honda Accord cap, and probably many other Japanese car's caps from that era will fit. See Tear it up, fix it, repeat's blog

I used a thermostat, and cap, from a Honda 250. But any small bike cap, at 1.1 bar will work. I had to cut one of the ears off, to give it room to turn past the bleed nipple though.

The thermostat and fan switch, in the bottom of the radiator. I got from ebay, as parts for a Kawasaki 600. all of these were still working fine, many 1000's of miles later.
