As a matter of fact they could use some rain. They have a bog fire burning and it will take a good rain to put it out.

I'm with you in pulling for LSU this weekend.

We here in Texas were counting on the fact that Oklahoma sucks would have been enough to pull the storm and its much needed moisture through the Lone Star State, but Noooooooooooo....

Thanks Bill. The rain started yesterday afternoon and will continue thru Monday or Tuesday. The NWS predicts 14"+ here through the ordeal. I'm at work today making preparations for 50-70 mph winds. It is supposed to sit over us through the weekend due to weak steering currents. The marsh fire near New Orleans needs a natural extinguishing but we surely don't need as much as they are predicting. Geaux Tigers......

I don't think we will have enough rain to flood in central La.I do hope we get some because my yard looks like it normally does in Feb.

TS Lee has finally left us. Other than plenty of tree limbs to pick up, I recorded only 11.08" of rain at my home. It all depended on how long the feeder bands stayed on top of you. There were places just a few miles from me that recorded over 20" of rainfall. We were very fortunate that the upper level environment wasn't very hospitable for this to develop into a major hurricane. If it would have, most of southern Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama would have been leveled from the high winds and storm surge. I surely hope Katia makes the northeast turn before reaching the East Coast. No one needs a visit from her. And there is another one brewing off of the coast of Africa that we will have to watch. August and September are the worst.
