I didn't think there was but I hadn't disassembled it all the way.

Did anyone ever resolve this issue? I have a 2005 1600 Nomad with the exact same symptoms.

Read post #29 in this thread. Looks like the problem was resolved with a new fuel pump.

I had the fuel regulator go bad on my '08. It would pump fuel but not at the correct pressure so ran like crap when it did run.

FYI: I've had the Quantum pump in my '06 Nomad for over a year and a half and so far so good. I've changed the "filter" twice since they're so cheap. First time there was some crud. I did it at about 8 months. Second time...last week....there was very little. My tank had a lot of crud in it when I got the bike and had the original pump crap out. It may have been the filter but for $70 I figured I'd start from scratch.

I thought this might be useful information for anyone reading this thread . On my 2001 Nomad a couple of years ago I had to replace the throttle body because of a bad TPS sensor . I decided to check the pump and filter while I was at it . The filter was bad so I took it to a local dealer and found a filter for $8.00 ( GKI #GF61M ) . It fits perfectly .

Also I found that there is a small screen inside the fuel pressure regulator . Two bolts and it was off . I found what looked like small bits of silicone . I'm guessing this came from the old filter inside the tank . The bike has ran perfectly since changing the filter and cleaning out the small screen inside the regulator .

The bike always seemed to run a little rough until I did this . Ran like a brand new bike ever since ..
