new member, meadows of dan, va

hey all! been trying to figure out how to post on here for a few weeks...finally figured it out...maybe not the easiest site to navigate, maybe its me. anyways, bought my 3rd bike in my lifetime thus far over labor day weekend- a beauty: '05 vulcan classic 1600. purchased from a guy who kept it in very good condition for the past 6 years he owned it. took over 5 weeks to get it licensed and titled and registered thru dmv, thanks to the china virus. so, lost alot of possible riding time for the entire month of october even though i did some of the illegal riding stuff here and there. anyways, great bike, taking a bit of getting used to since my last bike which i had in '82 (yamaha seca 750} and rode for a few years before giving it up. got the bike itch again once more, and possibly for the last time in this lifetime! am watching videos primarily of jerry palladino aka "motorman" via his 'ride like a pro' series on youtube. does anyone else here follow his stuff? for 20+ years he taught police officers to ride, and now offers rider instruction at several locations throughout the country, including the new port richey area in florida where he teaches exclusively. anyways, am glad to have found this site- good luck to everyone, stay safe, and stop by to say hi some time! Welcome from Minneapolis

Yes navigation of this site is different. Good people and good advice can be found here.

You may want to watch "MCRIDER" as a great supplement to watching Jerry Palladino

Ride safe

@DogBrain007, Yep, got a few miles in yesterday.
I went to high school in Floyd, my dad still lives in Wytheville, so understand your comment "but forget about jan thru mid-march."

Ride safe,
Smokier
