If you would please tell me the brand and sizes (front and rear) I would be eternally grateful.

P.S. Whats' the ride like with the white walls?
These are Metzler ME880s. They are 150/16s front and rear. The early 1500s used 150s both front and rear. 1600s use 130s in front and 150s in the back. I think.

What's it like? Cool. You are the coolest scoot on the block. Takes a little additional effort to keep clean, but it is worth the effort.

The 1600 Nomad uses 150/16 in the front and 170/16 in the back. With the metzlers, I ran a 180/16 in the back.

It would seem that the 08 is the last year for a good nomad

I bought a new 2008 Nomad best bang for your dollar.
Congratulations on the better choice! I wouldn't want to offend anyone buying an '09, but comparing this class of bikes at the show from Harley to Yamaha have a better quality bike.

It is one the cheapest bikes and it shows top to bottom.

Wing $28K
Victory $22K
Voyager $18K

Anyone checked out the new Victory Cross Countrys. That looks like one fine motorcyle and all that for only $17,000. If I didn't already have such a GREAT 2006 Nomad I would definately be looking at the 2010 Victory Cross Country.

I rode an 09 Nomad a few months ago at Cyclefest in Scottsdale. The ergonomics are very similar to a Harley. It feels more "compact" and they moved the floorboards back a couple of inches toward center. Still a nice bike and I really enjoyed the ride.

I have been waiting almost a year to ride a Voyager when the International Cycle Show comes around this fall. Looks like I'm going to be waiting longer because there is no show scheduled for Phoenix this year.
