Gator 1000 and road trip

Leaving tomorrow for Jacksonville for the Gator 1000. It is IBA SS1000 that goes from Jax, Tampa, Naples, Flamingo, Key Largo, Daytona and ends at Jax. That will be on Thursday.

On Saturday, Tammy and I will be heading north to see our son in LaGrange, GA then up to see Goose, DJ and Butters in Cleveland, TN; then on to Blairsville, GA to see Dick and whoever else is around for a couple days.

Hoping for good weather.

Rain tomorrow but after that it should be clear for several days. Of course that could change. As of right now it looks good for you. Have a great ride and ride safe.

Yeah, I know. Back when I was doing drugs and having unprotected anal sex with prostitutes they was psychiatric help for that, but when you go somebody and tell 'em I work to hard, they juss roll their eyes. ::)

Coach still planning on something for Sunday, Gotta work on Saturday though!! I know how you feel Mike! It's been crazy since last week we had a Twister rip part of the roof off the Coca-Cola plant...

DJ what we gonna do with our BOSS-MAN that's coming up Sunday? Got any spacial places we can take Him & Tammy to for dinner?

I will write up a full report on the Gator 1000 ride later but I wanted to write this up first!

We had a great time up in TN and GA. Got to spend an evening with David and Buttars at their camp site, outstanding company and good breakfast by Chef Jones. We then had lunch with Goose and his lovely bride. As Goose said, it seems like we've know each other forever. Goose and his brother lead us over to Blairsville to Dick's house, thanks guys. It was good seeing all of you, all be it for too short a time.

We spent Sunday night through Wednesday morning at Dick's Boarding House. We had a great time there, spending time with Dick and Marge. We did some riding on Monday around the area...don't remember where we went for sure but we went up to Brass Town Bald and saw some great scenery. Tammy figured out the "scenic highway" meant lots of curves and elevation changes. Dick treated us to a great meal over in Young Harris, Enrico's I think it was called. On Tuesday we had a ton of rain so we caged it over to Helen to have lunch. We grilled out some steaks and had a nice meal at the boarding house that evening. Dick even showed us some great tips for around the house ;)

We were sorry we had to leave on Wednesday but the ride home was good, almost all off interstate (my choice) until we got back to Flatlandia. Hopped on the I-75 for a spell then off to home.

All in all it was a nice extended weekend but far too short.
