Yes Sly, you are right!
History in the making.
I am sure that Mr. Tommy Douglas first NDP Leader must be dancing
in his grave. Ed Broadbent must be kicking up his heels also. The people have spoken...
Ok, enough about politics....let's ride.
Cheers

Is Harper getting a majority a good thing or bad thing? Just wondering what the Canadian perspective is.

That was my thought...Also, and it doesn't affect me, is the restriction against people entering the country that got a DUI in this country. Someone on the board I know got turned away. It's not like they are a terrorist or child molester. I am not making excuses for the infraction, but it's a little tight. I suppose it doesn't matter. Some day we'll have the NAU. ;)

This was the election that nobody wanted, except maybe Vulcanguy. I think if there had been a none of the above box on the ballot the results would have been different. I also think for the first time Canadians have taken the NDP seriously and it will be interesting to see if they can do better than the liberals as the opposition party. Hope so.

Well all those people here in Quebec that dropped the block for the NDP saw something in Layton's campaign speeches. Lets hope he doesn't disappoint or, never mind like Guy says let's ride.

I know people here that have also been turned awayfrom the US for the exact reason you stated. Its because you are not allowed in to either country if you have a criminal record. It seems that they can find the mimor infractions quite easy and deny entry but a lot of serious criminals find the loopholes easily.
