Did You Ride Today? Where To and How Far?
I managed to get in about 250 miles today. The Stonehenge replica is great. It was built as a memorial to the local soldiers that lost their lives in WWI. There was also a POW/MIA memorial at the site. I enjoyed the trip and met some locals that were very friendly and helpful. Just one thing to remember, 90 miles from I82 to Hwy 97 on Hwy 14 and no gas in between.Make sure you have a full tank before leaving on this trip.

Just took a little ride of 24 miles round trip to fuel up. Got caught in a light shower. Back in the garage for the day.

Got to take my morning commute at 0430 this AM, 10 miles with breathtaking views of the Whataburger for my tacquitos and diet coke. Would take the long way home this evening but I'm replacing headlights on my nearly 20 yr old ford. If I ever meet the engineer who designed those, he has an A$$ whipping coming.

Annual Toy Run for the Shriners Hospitals in Springfield, Boston and Montreal. United Motorcyclists of Vermont put together their 24th ride to the capital. I only went 31 miles all together. It starts 3 miles from my house. But other riders come from all over the state. Even the govenor shows up each year. Fun time every year.

Rode both days this weekend, covering a lot of backroads "to and from" the destinations.
Saturday I headed west toward Galena, IL, and took this shot of Stonehenge... or at least a replica somebody did on one of the hills behind their property. It stands around 12 feet tall, and is located on a remote road with little traffic... so I doubt many know it exists. Google earth does not show it clear enough for anyone to see it distinctly; however it does show up as a circle. Anyway... thought is was pretty cool... Today, I rode north-east of here to Lake Geneva, WI. It was far too crowed for me today. It didn't look like that town is having any effects from the economic slowdown! I do like seeing the lake there though. Total miles traveled in two days... 600 miles.

Took a short ride yesterday. Only 35 miles each way. Met my wife after work for some supper.

Took a ride to the vet this morning to pick up my Boxer's meds. Nice this morning but will turn sour by tonight with the remnants of a TD coming back over us again. 90% rain tomorrow.
