I am so proud of my Daughter

Just had to brag - My daughter joined FFA this Junior year at Cy-Springs High School. She is a high-achiever, Honor Roll, K level classes, etc. She elected to raise a pig and put in 3-5 hours each and every day from mid-October to yesterday. It required many early mornings and late evenings and was a wonderful opportunity to learn responsibility and hundreds of other life lessons. She learned the skills along the way with much help and encouragement from her most EXCELLENT teacher Mrs Byers.

Friday, out of a field of 194 swine, Lauren and "Harley" took home the bacon...Harley weighed in at 273lbs and also won Class 8, the heaviest weight class

May I present Lauren Hazelrigs and "Harley" - GRAND CHAMPION of the Cy-Fair ISD (picture quality is bad - I have to work on them)

Last night was very tough - we had to give up our 'baby' - I'm going to miss that pig...
