Last week, I ordered a new helmet and it arrived yesterday. I wanted a lightweight half helmet for warmer weather. I was at my dealer last week and was looking at their helmet display as I waited for my son to pick me up. I tried on a KBC Nomad helmet and it seemed to meet my requirements, so after doing a little research online, I ordered one in gloss black. Now I just need for things to dry up around here to test it.

I didn't think helmets came in any other color. ::)

Besides, I fried my brain in the 70's.

Got even a better deal than that. Iron Pony has Vega's XT and XTS half helmets with vents for $19.99 and $29.99 plus shipping.
Just picked up a couple for me and the misses.

I got a couple for us too. We got them from leatherup.com. I was very impressed with their service. They came in a box with a return exchange form included. That was very cool since mine didn't fit right. My wife wears the same size and I tried hers on and it was perfect so I exchanged for the same model but different design.

Man CJ you're right on time. I was about to pose a question about that very helmet. I've read mixed reviews on it But alas you have one and every body on this board as well as I value your opinions on every subject and you are the "GO TO MAN" ;) We are anxiously awaiting, any information forthcoming. :) :) :)

Sign in a motorcycle shop. "IF YOU THINK YOUR HEAD IS WORTH $10.00, BUY A $10.00 HELMET."

Wife and I have HJC half helmets, $70.00 on line. Wear and Arai 3/4 sometimes when it really cold.
Don't remember what I paid for that. Got it at a rally and it was a close out, so probably not to much. The half helmets have zip in and out ear warmers, for lack of a better word. Comfortable, we really like them. I saw that sign at the dealer that I bought my first bike from, that was in Libertyville, Illinois and the bike was a new 1978 Kawasaki 454. That helmet saying just always stuck in my mind for some reason.

haven't heard of anybody with my brand of half helmet yet. I have ridden with a NexL for the past 3 yrs. you can see them at Nelxsports.com they are pricey about $200 but whats your head worth. these are kevlar and carbon fiber reinforced laminates so 60% lighter(and they sure are) but very strong. they have numerous crash testimonals/pics of the helmets and they scratch up but hold up VERY WELL. Fits like a bandana to your head and doesnt blow around. Anyway I dont own stock just throwing it out there. :-)

Is anyone aware of a half-helmet with an interchangeable face shield vs. a visor?
