Planning the ride to the National Rally

Absolutely, I am looking for a small antenna for a CAD flag on my bike.

The last National was on the west coast. If you don't believe me ask BD.

Planning the ride to the National Rally

That's what I was think'in TC. They considered the South Dakota to be a westerly rally. Ha!
I'm think'in maybe a "dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean" kind of western Rally.

I still have my Canadian flag from the 1st. National in Custer.

I just hope I can make it. I'm hearing rumblings from work that the unused vacations might need to be used ASAP after returning to work from illness, WCB. That means I need to stay off till May. That may be hard to do. The knee is progressing and I might find myself back to work sooner rather than later. :'( :'( I'm not there yet though.
It'll be great to meet you and the eastern bros. too.

Rick, Maggie Valley is not exactly in our back yard either. It is 1100 miles from here. They say that getting there is half the fun, so that being said you will have more fun than most.;D I for one am jealous, so if they do have a real West Coast rally in the future, I will do my best to attend.

A ride out west will be quite a trip for you guys in PQ, its about thirty hours just to get through Ontario. After that you should be able to get across a province a day. Years ago I went from Toronto to Lake Louise in 46 hours, that was a long drive.

I beg to differ great Canadian leader.... 30 hours to get though Toronto, the rest is a walk in the park

We're not in PQ, We're in QC. The PQ are in QC, but they would like QC to not be in CA.
Now that we have the political correctness out of the way, I've done the run from here to Vancouver Island a few times, but never on a bike. Yup it is a long haul going around the lake head.
and then the prairies are boring. I think if I planned it on a bike I would go by the U.S.

Surely you jest.... [can I call you Surely?] OK Norm. The "flatlands" can be quite beautiful in their own way. Depending on when you go of course. Can't say I'd want to ride through Sask. in July or early August. Well anyway, I've now bookmarked this thread so in 2013 when the rally is in BC, WA, or for B.D's benefit, maybe CA. You won't be able to back out because "it's too far" :'( :'(. I really want to make it to the National this summer/spring.

Planning the ride to the National Rally

You guys are too funny and hit upon something I have never thought about for years. In my younger days a friend and I were bar hoping up north and no word of a lie meet two girls both named Shirley. I was having what I thought was an intelligent conversation with one while my Friend danced with the other. Suddenly My mind went blank and I could not remember the girl's name, just then my Friend came stumbling back from the dance floor with the other girl and sorta fell into the table and said "Surely you remember Shirley". That is pretty much the only part of that night that I remember.
