Sunday June 13/14 accommodations on way to rally

This is based on discussion in the "Pre-planning" thread. The Florida & Georgia contingent of people coming to the SENR rally have decided that after staying in Blairsville GA Saturday night June 12/13 we will stay in Kingsport TN on Sunday night June 13/14.
There will be some campers in the group. That would be Ron&Tami and Jim&wife as I understand Mike in FL had to cancel that will camp. The hotel'rs are (I think) Dick, Richard, Cliff&wife, Mike (bigsid1), Doug and me as Joe had to cancel also. If there is anyone else that will join the gang and camp or hotel it I apologize for missing you.
Anyway Ron identified a KOA campground and a LaQuinta hotel on the outskirts of Kingsport as our Sunday night layover point. (And nobody objected so... it was decided) This location is at mile marker 357 of I-81 and it is exit 63 which is Airport Parkway.
The LaQuinta is at 10150 Airport Parkway which is on the SW corner of that interchange. The hotel phone is 1-423-323-0500.
I have made reservations for Doug and I, and the rate I got via the LaQ web site (AARP/Senior) was $61.75 + tax. for a 2 queen bed room non smoking.
I don't have any of the details on the KOA so I will let Ron plug that in. I did look on the map and it appears to be with in about 1 mile from the hotel and on the same exit.
To the best of my knowledge we all plan to arrive at the SENR rally host hotel/campground Monday and stay there until Friday morning. I think the plan is to work our way back southwest during Friday and have another group layover? I do know that Mike (bigsid1), Doug and I because of time constraints and distance plan to head for SE Georgia on Saturday so I think the group will start to break up on Saturday.

Ross

There are only 4 bikes coming from Florida: you, me, Mike and Doug. MikeInFLA, Joe and Jim are not going. Dick said he and Richard are chomping at the bit to have us there on Saturday.

The La Quinta is a good stop point. Dick and I are going to discuss routes later this week and finalize when we get there on Saturday.
