Weather permitting is the key. Right now it is looking like some wet stuff might be around. Also....I am "On Call" for work this week (and weekend)....so if I make it up there at all...it will be just the wife and I. Keep your cell phone on Rick as I could hook up with you someplace if we end up going....

Oyster Run this Sunday

Greetings from Ft. McMurray,

Weather permitting, I'll try to make it to the rally; take a day ride to Anacortes , have a Mexican lunch and get a jug of Rotella T6 at Walmart, that's my plan.

Rick, what is your plan?

E.

The weather network is calling for clouds and showers!!! Man!
I have really been looking fwd. to this since we went last year. I'll be planning to go but if it looks like rain the bike will stay in the garage and I'll work on the reno at the cabin I guess. Stay in touch here or you have my phone numbers I can be reached at don't you? I'll know by Friday what's going on. If it's just a chance of showers,.... then I will probably take a chance and ride. Hammer!!! where are you?

Hey Rick,

Weather looks promising: Cloudy, chance of a little rain. The following are pretty reliable forecasts:

Hope to ride to Anacortes!

Cheers,

E.

E ....I'm at the cabin right now and will be tomorrow as well. I'm watching the weather closely, but the bike is at home and I'd have to go and get it. I'd leave real early 5:30 - 6:00 AM and go home and ready to meet you. We should talk on the phone Saturday afternoon and decide if we are going for sure. I guess a little rain won't hurt us. The U.S. TV station showed Anacortes weather as rain on Sunday though. Call me at the 360 # you used before. Or email me, or msg. me here.

I think I'm probably out fellas. I too was looking forward to it, but it don't look good weather-wise. Saturday is supposed to be really nice down here, so I think we will try to ride a bit tomorrow instead. Bummer.... :-/.

Elvis,
It's too late now for this time around, but in the future use my home phone or the phone at "the cabin" before you call the cell. There is no cell service here at the cabin.
Here's my PM to you explaining. Sorry we didn't connect. Let me know how your day went if you did go to Anacortes. Man!! did it rain here last night and this morning, so for me I'm glad I didn't go and get the bike.

Boy it was rainy at my place this morning. We drove up to my folks at Lake McMurray to pick up some stuff and there were quite a few die-hards riding up to Anacortes regardless of the weather! It looked nasty up that way, so I'm sure people got wet early on...maybe not so much in the late afternoon, but early for sure.

Elvis...did you make the run?

Oyster Run this Sunday

Hey guys,

What a night that was, it rained hard all night and some more Sunday morning. I stayed indoors all Sunday and recovered from my last trip to Ft. McMurray. I did manage to do some maintenance on the bikes though…

Well, we’ve had a pretty good riding season this summer and there’s always the next year’s Oyster Run.

Cheers,
E.
