My family and friends in Pekin and Washington, IL are all okay. Several had their homes destroyed. One friend and his wife rode the storm out in their home, only to have it completely destroyed around them. They are bruised and cut-up, but okay.

My 85-year old mother lives only four-blocks from where the tornado hit in Pekin. My son and daughter were there also when it happened.

This was an extremely bad tornado that swept for miles and miles across Illinois. 6 people lost their lives in the state. I feel really bad for those people and those who lost their homes. It is getting to be winter here, and the holidays are coming. Not to mention, replacing these homes is not going to happen anytime soon. A bad situation all the way around...

Happy to hear all of your family and friends survived that EF4 tornado that devastated parts of Pekin and Washington. There is one shop in Pekin that I wouldn't care about getting sucked up by a tornado as long as no one got hurt

We were lucky here in my little part of the state. Some wind damage around to trees and sheds but that's it. A guy I work with down in Gifford had his home destroyed. Terrible for all the people involved. Hope your friends fair well going forward Greg.

Glad to hear you came through okay Tim. My friends will make it; but it is going to be a long time before they have a place to call home again.

We don't have snow yet but we have had some very low temps and high winds for the last couple of weeks. I believe my season is over with just 16,000 miles logged. Will try to do better next year

16,000 miles with your abbreviated riding season is downright respectable, Mike. I doff my cap to you, sir.

I used to put about 16,000/year on my Nomad. I'm not putting quite that many on my Harley. I don't do as many weekend rides as I used to.

Hey Scott, we really had an abbreviated season this year. June thru October was pretty much it! Had to ride everyday it was nice, non of that saying "I will ride tomorrow". Did have a great time on the Colorado/Black Hills trip with some fellow NCR riders, and of course the great time in Antlers.
FYI, I do not use my bike to commute.

I am primarily a commuter. I put over 7K this year and I haven't worked 7 months. I figured double that if I had been employed all year. No time or money for long distance rides, not yet. At least I can ride all year now.
