1600 Premeux fairing - reduced

SOLD

For sale is my Premeux fairing from my 2008 1600 Nomad. This is red and black with gold pinstripe and will bolt right up in place of the windshield. This is a quality piece with absolutely perfect color match. Here it is installed on mine.

Unfortunately, I dropped my bike and cracked the fairing at the SC rally in June. The pic above was taken in July on my way from KS to Canmore - it can easily be used as is. You have to look close to see the crack. However, I have no idea how long it will stay that way. It is being sold as is. It will be up to you to decide to repair and repaint.

Included in fairing:
  • JCV stereo (with front and rear inputs, usb input and remote)
  • Stereo rain cover
  • Sony 6 1/2" speakers
  • amplified antenna
  • cigarette lighter socket (power outlet)
  • Ram ball (I used for GPS mount)
  • Freedom wings (adjustable lower deflectors)
  • 2 windshields from Premeux 9" light tint, 5" dark tint

Front View:

Inner View:

Damage:

Fairing was originally 1800 + I am including about $300 in extras - $450 - SOLD.

Also available 1700 bars ($50) - SOLD.

Are Premeux fairings ABS or fiberglass? If its fiberglass I would think it would be a straight forward fix.
Would love to take that off your hands but doubt I can convince the wife of another big purchase right now.

They are fiberglass and I saw that damage at the Canmore rally this summer and other than if the looks bother you I doubt a repair will even be necessary.

Yes, it is fiberglass. If I was going to be repainting, then I would have the fiberglass repaired - if not, then I would probably just roll with it as is.

It was very difficult to get a clear picture of it. The one I posted is in bright sunlight so I could avoid glare from the flash. The stuff to the right in that pic is glare from sunshine and reflections from the leaves on the tree that was nearby. Here's another one I took inside. The flash actually accentuates the crack and makes it look worse than it is.

And thanks Doug. :)

Glenn, I'm working on a local guy in my riding group who just bought a black/red 08 to let him know what a fantastic deal it is, I'll let you know if he's interested.

I would have scooped that up in a second back in June when I was installing my fairing, I even painted mine the same color as yours.

I can't believe this is still here, it's an incredible deal for a way nicer finished fairing than the reckless.
