Recently found this forum and it is a wealth of information. I recently purchased a 99 Kawasaki Nomad and love the classy looks of this bike.

I think the 99 has a plastic oil gear that has caused problems.
Someone who knows will chime in.

Welcome from the Grand Canyon State! You may be able to have a Kawasaki dealer run your VIN to see if the plastic oil gear has been replaced. The '99 model year was the only year with this problem.
