Shock Absorber for VN 1700 Nomad

Hi, guys.
I need your help. My left shock has broken, and buying a new official kawa one is around 600€ (750$, only one).
Please, recomend me other one apart from the kawa ones.

Regards
Santi

Are they not still under warranty ? Kawasaki will replace both shocks if one is leaking.

Not all of Europe has such nicely developed roadways as the U.S. or Germany. I don't know about Spain, but I wonder if that makes a difference.

My only experience is Western Ukraine (not part of the EU), and their roads are horrible.

Ours are better than ukranian´s, but worst than german´s

I don´t think it´s a matter of roads... here shock absorbers are like tyres... if you use them, and they broke down, is your problem.

I am going to send a request to Japan, hoping to have a better answer...

You should try some Quebec roads, and I am not talking Northern ones either, then there is Carling avenue in Ottawa, if you have fillings in your teeth, check they are still there after.

12,500 miles is a very short distance for the shock to fail. Are you using a zero loss pump to inflate them ? Do not use the air line at a gas station.

I had one shock absorber start leaking oil at 194,000 kms, Kawasaki Canada authorized replacement of BOTH shocks, no charge to me. They also replaced seals and worn bushings in both my front forks and new steering head bearings at 212,000 kms.
