Ever try and load

a full fairing 900lb bike up a 12" wide 5' long atv ramp into a trailer? I have several times and to say the least kind of unnerving! With my Voyager as soon as the front tire hit the ramp (no backing out at that point) that the last I seen of it till I'm on the trailer!! No more-spent the better part of yesterday afternoon and evening building a ramp gate. No more worries if I have to stop or going off the edge.

I have a set of these on the back of my trailer in case I load the bike disconnected from the towing vehicle.

Really good idea and the cost is minimum.

My yard allows me to pull a trailer below grade in several areas. Once the ramp is lowered since the trailer deck is lower. I can roll almost level onto trailer its finding as suitable site to unload.

Tail of trailer is 18" off the ground and ramp is 4'. I'm going to load the bike tomorrow evening after the paint dries on the gate. I pretty sure the Voyager's no problem but the wife's C50 I'll have to watch. It's been lowered 2". One other thing this is a 18' tandem axle trailer.

I have a place or two that I can roll a bike right into my truck without ramps. Not to sure that if I added up all the level spot on my 70 acres that I would come up with one acre!

Some people make the mistake of closing the throttle soon as the front wheel crosses from the ramp to the trailer. Big mistake! If the climb angle is extreme the forward momentum bleeds off quickly and they find themselves at dead stop with nothing but air under their feet. I watched a guy flip his Suzuki 1500 sideways off the ramp cause he didn't keep the power on long enough. It was ugly.

There is definitely a pucker factor to overcome the first time you go up the ramp.

Buddy of mine has a low boy style, all aluminum, tandem trailer that tilts, but has a regulator or shock absorber that lowers the trailer in a controlled fashion. I used it to go to Oklahoma and pick up the Vic (read....long, heavy ass bike). If I was going to use a trailer often for such things, that is the only way to go. Had almost zero effect on mileage, pulled like it wasn't even there. And the load was the easiest I've ever done.

you always drop your trailer wheels in a low spot in the yard or drainage ditch and lessen the angle

I park my bike in an enclosed 12 x 6 trailer and just ride straight in.
